The late Latin American artist Frida Kahlo is one of the most iconic and influential painters in world art, her mysterious self-portraits having entered the cultural lexicon as symbols open to varying interpretations. Now, curator Ana Weir has gathered together 15 interpretations of Kahlo for a show that opens Dec. 14 and runs through Feb. 15. The exhibition includes new paintings by a CU Theatrical Design graduate Hannah Male and young surrealist artist Arabella Snyder of Longmont. The works include oil, acrylic on canvas, mixed media, collage and paper mache. Free. Opening show 4-7:30 p.m. Gallery hours: noon-6 p.m. Details; www.anasartgallery.com.
