Enjoy the opportunity for lots of hands-on work in color and composition during this two-part watercolor series with local artist Lexis Krieg. Her single session classes at Two Hands Paperie have been popular with both novices and experienced artists alike. This series goes into more depth than is possible in a single class, which allows you to go beyond the medium itself as you explore how colors work in relation to one another and how to balance elements to create a beautiful design.

Before each session you’ll receive color exercises to complete ahead of time. Each class includes a review of your exercises, lessons on understanding color, and is paired with a discussion on the elements of composition. The beauty of the series is that the time between classes allows you to experiment on your own, then show what you’ve done at the next class and ask Lexis questions. The goal is for you to become comfortable making independent choices in your paintings. An integral part of the series is the personal feedback from Lexis as everyone shares their work and talks about what they’ve done. We think the best classes are ones like this where everyone learns from each other. There are always some interesting discoveries! This series is not technique based, so you’ll get the most out of it if you’ve already used watercolors and feel comfortable with your brush.

This online class will be recorded and made available to class participants for 10 days after the class.
