This fall, explore the artistic process through engaging collaborative art. BMoCA and Anythink libraries have partnered to bring community art to three of Anythink’s library locations. Funded by BMoCA, the SCFD and the Anythink Foundation, the BMoCA at Anythink Fall Artist Showcase provides opportunities to spark your curiosity and celebrate creativity. A different artist will be featured each month, highlighting three different mediums.

SEPT. 2021 – Alejandra Abad at Anythink Wright Farms
Alejandra Abad is an interdisciplinary visual artist with a penchant for dense abstract shapes and fantastical landscapes. Her playful drawings, paintings and prints become moving images. Her work centers around collaborative projects, immersive installations, collages and animation that reflect her identity and values.

Abad continues her “Our Wishes” project at Anythink Wright Farms. Messages of hope from the community are gathered and placed on beautiful flags that will be displayed at the library and serve as inspiration to all. Click here for more information on how to share your message.

As an artist in residence at Anythink Wright Farms, Abad will share her creative process with library visitors through drop-in sessions and community workshops. Click here for information on upcoming workshops.

OCT. 2021 – Juan Fuentes at Anythink Bennett
Juan Fuentes is a documentary photographer born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and based in Denver. His work captures everyday life from and tells stories of contemporary America, highlighting the Latinx and Chicano experience.

At Anythink Bennett, Fuentes spearheads a collaborative photography project to celebrate the immigrant and Spanish-speaking communities of the Eastern Plains. This project is funded in part by the Anythink Foundation.

Armando Silva is a painter, muralist and performer who uses his artistic abilities to tell powerful stories, build community and inspire audiences through art.
