For those unfamiliar, Old-Time music is the precursor to bluegrass, a blending of the Scots-Irish and African musical traditions that met in the southern Appalachians. The music is fiddle-driven, rhythmic and repetitive, and primarily instrumental. This is the music you hear at a square dance - it is perhaps America's most rural music and we're doing our best to keep it alive and kicking here in Colorado!
Bluegrass players and those unfamiliar with Old-Time music are very welcome, just note that we will be sticking to an old-time repertoire.
