Boulder Symphony performs Dvorak's famous Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" at the Dairy Arts Center on January 13 and January 14, 2023, 7:30-9:30 pm.

Dvorak believed in 1892 that the music of the future would come from African American spirituals. He also used American styles and folk music to create the first great “American” symphony of the New World.

Also performed will be the Boulder Symphony’s own principal oboe, Ingrid Anderson, playing John Clay Allen’s newly commissioned Oboe Concerto.

Boulder Symphony will also play John William’s Themes from Jurassic Park and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Song of Hiawatha.

Program:
John Williams “Themes from Jurassic Park”
John Clay Allen Oboe Concerto feat. Ingrid Anderson
Samuel Coleridge-Taylor “The Song of Hiawatha”
Antonín Dvořák Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”
