New Orleans, Louisiana, such a beloved foodie city! With influences from indigenous cuisines, and the cuisines of The Congo, France, Spain, Sicily, Haiti and many others, the food of the Crescent City is rich in tradition and boiling over with flavor.

Fried Okra with Cajun Remoulade: Impossible to stop eating, this crunchy okra is cornmeal crusted and delicious with cajun remoulade.
Cajun Remoulade: A spicy and flavorful derivative of mayonnaise
Shrimp Étouffée: One of the quintessential dishes from The Big Easy, étouffée literally translates to “smothered”, shrimp in a complex sauce made of the hallmarks of this cuisine, a dark roux, the “holy trinity”, and a classic spice mix.
Maque Choux Salad: A crispy salad version of the classic southern side dish with earthy kale, fresh corn, peppers, tomatoes and a creamy dressing flavored with filé (ground sassafras).
Bourbon Bread Pudding: Heavily inspired by the French influence in the region, toasted bread cubes cooked with a rich custard and topped with a crème anglaise flavored with the regions’ favorite spirit.

This menu is pescatarian. Gluten free or dairy free substitutions are not available.

This class is designed for adults of all ages! Children 11 and up are welcome to attend but must register with a parent or guardian with both spots paid.
