Details
The purpose of the class is to provide the beginner or expert fly angler a framework for catching more fish. We begin with the classic two fly rig; “Dry Dropper” and explain the importance of “Drop”. From there we apply that to suspended nymphing and straight-line (Euro) nymphing. From there we move to the park to teach casting, etiquette and simulate fishing.
Students are provided with flies, indicators, leader, and extensive handouts that include knot and entomology summary. Rod/reels are provided, if necessary, for park work.

I Class begins outside with assessment of individual knowledge and goals

III Part one is shown and the various methods to increase drop are shown on white board
IV Class moves to park instruction
