At the heart of downtown Boulder is the Civic Area. Bordered by Canyon Blvd. to the north, Arapahoe Avenue to the south, 9th Street to the West and 14th Street to the East, the Civic Area Phase 2 project looks to rethink this space for the future. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 the city invites you to share your thoughts and feelings about the Civic Area at an open house in the space east of the library, north of Boulder Creek.

City staff will have questionnaires, map activities, and ways to share your ideas to make the best Civic Area space for the community.

Local musicians Jeff and Paige will lead community members on a “discovery parade” at 11 a.m. to see all aspects of the Civic Area space and then perform until 1 p.m.

Community members of all ages are welcome to attend the open house.

Parking is available in the library’s lot off Arapahoe Avenue or the small parking lot off Canyon Blvd. All transportation modes are encouraged to come to the event and can inform your thoughts on Civic Area accessibility.
