Doug Margerum is a Santa Barbara wine legend, with over 35 years of experience in the Santa Barbara wine industry. Unlike many winemakers, Doug’s experience is not limited to the vineyards and cellars. He has years of experience in restaurants and winery management, and in 2007 earned a Wine Spectator Grand award for his former restaurant Wine Cask, no easy feat. Having worked on projects with the greatest winemakers of Central California, Jim Clendenen and Bob Lindquist, Doug has incredible experience in winemaking. In 2001, he established Margerum Wine Company. Margerum focuses on Rhone Varietals, with their estate vineyard located in the Los Olivos AVA. The wines are powerful yet refined, a perfect example of the great diversity of what the Santa Ynez valley has to offer. We are delighted to have Doug at Frasca for a Monday night dinner. He will pour his flagship wines, including his M5 white blend, M5 red blend, and Uber syrah. Don’t miss this one.
