The vast beauty and silence of the Northern European countries like Norway and Sweden have also led to the creation of some of the world’s most moving choral music. The centerpiece of this concert is Ola Gjeilo’s stunning Sunrise Mass with string orchestra and chorus. Other music from the Nordic choral traditions rounds out the program – with a few surprises (Bjork, anyone?)
