Join Dushanbe Teahouse proprietor, anthropologist, and professional tea blender Sara Martinelli on an interactive journey that explores how tea has become one of the world’s most influential commodities, embraced by cultures around the globe, and integrated in their social, spiritual, economic, and health customs.
This workshop will be set in our Dushanbe Teahouse Exhibit and includes an interactive tea tasting exploring a range of distinct cultures, allowing participants to experience the flavors and appreciate the artistry that has been inspired by this gift of nature. From the traditional English cuppa, to the Japanese tea ceremony, tea has found a place in the hearts of people worldwide.
