Learn to sew zippers and laminated fabric all in one class! Zippered pouches are an excellent project to master for making creative, handmade gifts and they are a great way to use up leftover fabric. The pouches are enormously versatile as they can be made in any shape or size, and not only do they look great, but they serve many useful purposes including cosmetic carryall, pencil case, clutch, diaper bag – the list goes on!

This class is designed with beginner to intermediate sewers in mind. You will complete one lined zippered pouch in this two and a half hour class. Choose to box the bottoms or have the pouch be flat and you will learn how to embellish with zipper pulls and twill tags. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine or use ours. If you bring yours, please arrive 5 min early to set up and bring a zipper foot if you have one.

Once you master the technique, zippered pouches are a snap to make.
