The Pearl Street Mall will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this August
[Boulder, Colo.] July 10, 2017 - The 40th anniversary of the Pearl Street Mall is approaching on August 6, 2017, and to celebrate the Downtown Boulder Partnership and City of Boulder are collecting photos to commemorate the Mall!
You can help by submitting your photos on the Mall from the past 40 years. Photo submissions will be put on display outside the Visitor’s Information Center at 1303 Pearl St. and online at 40yearsonpearl.com. The Downtown Boulder Partnership and the City of Boulder Community Vitality Department will be giving away prizes for submitted photos each week. Winners will be determined via random drawing, and prizes include $25 Downtown Boulder gift cards and Boulder Craft Beer Festival tickets (must be 21 years or older).
Photos are being collected now through August 3rd. High quality digital images are preferred, including high resolution scanned historic photos.
Instructions to enter:
- Twitter and Instagram: People can share photos on Instagram or Twitter and use the #40YearsOnPearl hashtag in the caption.
- Facebook: Post photos on Downtown Boulder's Facebook page, @DowntownBoulder (rather than personal timeline) using #40YearsOnPearl in the caption.
- Entries will be automatically collected via 3rd party app (WooBox) and winners will be notified by the channel through which they entered.
- Don't have a Social Media account? Enter by email - send photos to info@downtownboulder.org with the subject line "40 Years On Pearl"
- Weekly prizes include: Downtown Boulder gift cards ($25) (2 per week) and one pair of Beer Fest tickets (must be 21+ to win) (1 per week). Drawings will take place July 13, 20, 27, and August 3.
