Category: Press Room

Munchkin Masquerade, the trick-or-treat extravaganza takes place on Pearl Street October 31 from 3 - 6pm with over 60 participating Treat Stops

Boulder, Colo. [Oct. 17, 2017]: On Tuesday, October 31, thousands of tiny ghosts & goblins, dinosaurs & dragons, fairies & princes, superheroes and animals of every size will be parading down Pearl Street during the annual Munchkin Masquerade. This event is highly recommended for children ages 12 and under. Please remember, no dogs are allowed on the Pearl Street Mall.

Participating downtown businesses (Treat Stops) will provide treats and goodies during this free event. These Treat Stops can be found along Pearl Street (and adjacent streets), from 9th Street to 23rd Street. A full list of the Treat Stops is available at MunchkinMasquerade.com

“Downtown Boulder businesses enjoy hosting this family-friendly event every year. Munchkin Masquerade has become one of the largest Halloween celebrations for kids in Boulder,” said Anna Salim, VP of Events. “We are thankful for the generosity of the participating businesses. A lot of candy and other treats are given away to thousands of kids year after year.”

In addition to trick-or-treating, POSHSplat will be offering face painting for the munchkins. Ramble on Pearl will host spooky kids games. Experimac will have a Halloween photo booth, perfect for capturing the munchkins in costume. Fresh baked cookies will be offered at West Flanders, along with beer cards for adults. Following the event, kids eat free at Centro Mexican Kitchen. Complete details can be found online at MunchkinMasquerade.com.

For more spooky fun head over to 13th and Pearl Streets for a haunted house hosted by Installation Shoe Gallery. Please remember, no dogs are allowed on the Pearl Street Mall.
Munchkin Masquerade is a free event and open to the public. This annual event is produced by Downtown Boulder Partnership and sponsored by Clif Kid, Broadway Suites, the Daily Camera and City of Boulder Community Vitality Department.
