Annual fall fashion event expands to an entire weekend focusing on downtown Boulder retailers
BOULDER, COLORADO [September 16, 2016] Fall into Fashion Weekend (previously Fashion’s Night Downtown Boulder) showcasing downtown’s exciting retail scene kicks off Thursday, September 22 and runs through Sunday, September 24. The official start happens Thursday at 6 p.m. with a runway fashion show on the Pearl Street Mall in front of the Boulder County Courthouse fountain.
Fashionistas from Boulder and beyond are invited to attend the free runway show highlighting fall fashion trends by downtown’s hottest retailers. Boulder’s own Ryan Van Duzer will emcee the show and DJ Petey, a well-known name in Boulder’s nightlife scene, will provide the tunes. The fashion show features well known favorites such as Weekends, Starr’s Clothing Co. and Common Era, as well as newcomers John Atencio, Momentum, and Topo Designs. There will be more than 25 retailers represented in the show with nearly 100 models walking the catwalk. Following the 30 minute runway show, retailers will host in-store special events from Thursday evening throughout the entire weekend.
In-store special events include: exclusive promotions and giveaways, music, entertainment, trunk shows and more. Fall into Fashion Weekend has a diverse array of participants this year including jewelry stores John Atencio and Adorned, as well as salons like West End Salon and Pompadours, and even a yoga studio, Amana Yoga.
“This is the first time that we are devoting an entire weekend to our annual fall fashion event,” said Anna Salim, Downtown Boulder’s Vice President of Events. “We think that extending the event will expand the appeal and give the public a lot of opportunity to explore our retail scene.”
Fall into Fashion Weekend is supported by the Downtown Boulder Business Improvement District, City of Boulder Parking Services and the Daily Camera.
