Mountain Dweller with Zeal Optics

Tracey is the Retail and Office Manager at ZEAL Optics. She originally hails from Canada but has called Boulder home since 2004 (minus 3 years in Fort Collins to attend CSU). She loves exploring around town and getting into nature with her two young daughters. Tracey has worked for ZEAL Optics since 2010 and is proud to work for a company that prides itself in creating great products, giving back to its community and protecting the Earth.

A perfect day in Boulder for me is any day that I get to explore in nature and get active in the mountains. I, obviously, never go on an adventure without a pair of ZEAL Optics sunglasses (I’m probably up to 10 pairs at this point). Sun protection for the eyes is super important, the optics are unbeatable, and they’re designed specifically with an active lifestyle in mind.

As for my clothing, I pretty much live in clothes from prAna which makes impromptu hikes or yoga sessions an easy decision. I usually have my two kids tagging along with me and they are often outfitted in Patagonia jackets that have been handed down through up to 5 kids – seriously, those things never die! My toddler loves to rock her mini Fjallraven backpack – storage for water and snacks is crucial!

Spruce Confections is the best place to stop for pre-hike snack. It’s a great starting point for a little energy boost before a hike up Mount Sanitas or for a run up the canyon. My favorite post hike stop is definitely the rooftop of the Rio for a margarita! You can’t beat the views of the mountains you just adventured through and nothing is quite as refreshing as a Rio marg and some chips and salsa after a big day out in nature!
