Hi Boulder!

It’s about that time… graduation. I still can’t believe how fast these four years have flown by. I have mixed emotions about graduating but I can’t wait to see the look on my mom’s face. She’s mostly excited for me to to be off the payroll…but also extremely proud. I am planning on spending my summer in Boulder eventually starting a new life in Denver. Although Atlanta will always be home, I am eager to see what Colorado has to offer. I am going to miss the Southern hospitality and especially the Falcon’s games with my dad. With Georgia in my heart, the job hunt here in Colorado has become reality. I have to wake up and accept I will be “adulting” in about a month. Before the “real world” sets in, there are still a few activities I have to check off before the big day!

Picnic at Chautauqua

  • I have always wanted to have the stereotypical picnic up on Chautauqua with friends, a red plaid blanket and a basket. I also hear Organic Sandwich Company is highly recommended so I am planning to cater my picnic with a delicious organic sub. To keep with the organic theme, I have wanted to try a smoothie from Wonder. The Green Monkey with green juice, coconut water, nut butter, spinach and banana will be the perfect addition!

Shop at Island Farm

  • I am still on the hunt for the perfect graduation dress. Island Farm has a great combination of accessories and clothing I’ll need for the big day. I have had my eye on their jewelry line by Debbie Fisher and Kim Clary. Their pieces would add beautiful sparkle to my cap and gown!

Attend Boulder Farmers Market

  • I hate to say it, but I have never been to the Boulder Farmers Market. I am so excited to go because I have done some research and it sounds amazing! I went to the Boulder Farmers Market Instagram and saw pictures of fresh products tomatoes, cucumbers and plants from Rocky Mountain Fresh. On Wednesdays, I am looking forward to enjoying live music, local beer and heading over to Bands on the Bricks…stay tuned , the lineup will be announced next week! Can’t imagine anything better on a beautiful, sunny Boulder day.

Eat at Pizzeria Locale

  • I have friends that rave about the delicious Napoletana pizza, wine, beer and cocktails served at Pizzeria Locale. I am planning on asking my parents to go during graduation since I have already picked out what I would order on the menu. I would start with the Arancino risotto and have the Puttanesca pizza for my entrée with a glass of Rosé Nero d'Avola! Boulder and pizza will always have a special place in my heart.

Graduation is almost here and I feel so fortunate to have gone to school and become a part of this amazing community here in downtown Boulder. With that said, I better get started!

Best,

Hannah
