Hello Boulder!

My name is Hannah and I will be interning with Downtown Boulder until May!  I am excited to be the new voice of the blog and for you to join me on this adventure. So far, the environment here at Downtown Boulder could not be any better. The people here are just as lively and welcoming as the town itself. I am overall excited to join this team as it is evident we share a mutual respect and admiration for Downtown Boulder and it’s people!

Surprisingly, I grew up in Marietta, Georgia. I often feel as if I am the only Southerner around but Boulder has quickly become my new home. I remember my freshman year here as a student, I wasn’t sure if this was the place for me. But, I quickly learned I was wrong. Once I made my way to Downtown Boulder, I was immediately hooked. I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere of the Pearl Street Mall and all that it has to offer. Naturally, I got a job at Savvy On Pearl so I could immerse myself in the downtown culture. It was as if I had discovered my new comfort zone. Downtown was my place to escape and explore my interests and hobbies when I wasn’t drowning in books or playing tennis. This love affair ultimately made me pursue an internship here.

In my free time, you can typically find me on Pearl Street painting, shopping, studying, and my personal favorite… eating! Now that I am interning here, I have a feeling these will become daily occurrences…which is fine with me.  I like to think I am an up-and-coming artist so I typically take classes at POSH. As I did in the past, I spend my paycheck shopping at Savvy On Pearl and Island Farm. I love to find my own little study nook at Ozo Coffee so I can take a break from campus. There are so many delicious restaurants but I have to say my most frequently visited is Lindsay’s Deli. You can never go wrong with a great soup and sandwich.

Now you know a little about me and my love for Downtown Boulder. I am looking forward to keeping you updated about the active, spirited downtown area!

Best Wishes,

Hannah
