The Downtown Boulder Partnership invites you to take part in an exploration of place. 

How do you establish a sense of belonging in a place?  How do you take a space and make it YOURS? Is it the opportunity for interactive and creative experiences? The presence of innovation in action? Availability of hands-on child-friendly activities? Quiet spaces for relaxation and reflection? Music and dancing in the streets? Impressive feats of engineering? Displays and expressions of sustainability?

For one weekend, October 20-22, 2023, the downtown Boulder district will be transformed into a laboratory of co-created placemaking* activations involving collaborations between various stakeholders (e.g. community members, local government, and private sector organizations). Downtown will become an interactive and engaging environment that fosters social interaction, cultural exchange, and creative expression. 

*Congress for New Urbanism defines Placemaking as the process of creating quality places that people want to live, work, play, and learn in.
