Young artists explore the beauty and intricacy of inanimate objects. learning the essentials of still life art and honing their observational and technical skills.
Throughout the course, students will delve into the fundamental principles of still life drawing, such as composition, lighting, perspective, form, and texture. They will learn how to carefully observe and capture details of objects. We will study value and the play between light and shadow. Through careful study we will translate what we see to paper.
Students will work with graphite, charcoal and color pencil and leave the class with a portfolio of still life studies.
