In this magical series of classes, we will learn to observe the changing color in the landscape around us as the seasons change. Each student will receive an art journal where they will learn to capture their observations from short trips around the neighborhood and do weaving sketches of the colors they observe. We will create a tapestry from our designs that speaks to the colors in the landscape around us.

In the class, Darcie will be sharing her "Color Memory" tapestries with students and discussing how color is used in other art works. Students will learn basic tapestry weaving including stripes, triangles and rectangles.
