“The Cafés are designed to reimagine the banking experience by empowering people to feel more confident in their relationship with money” said Patrick McCloskey, Cafe Coach of the Boulder Capital One Café. “It’s a space where you can focus on personal or community growth, find ways to simplify your finances, or kick back and relax in comfy spaces - all with your favorite coffee drink and snack in hand.” 

Rather than serving as a transactional-based store, the Capital One Café is designed to empower individuals in the community to reduce financial stress and anxiety. “We offer free Money and Life mentoring workshops that are open to the public. We really work to remove obstacles and roadblocks that prevent people from achieving financial success.” 

Patrick has been involved with Capital One Cafés across the country for the past five years, but Colorado has always been on his map. “When the opportunity arose to move to Boulder, I couldn’t pass it up. The Boulder Capital One Café has really close ties with the local community. We sponsor many of the Downtown Boulder Partnership’s holiday events because we recognize the importance of a vibrant downtown. The connection among businesses on Pearl Street is incredibly unique - the people in this community genuinely care about the success of the whole district.”
