A Day on the West End with Downtown Boulder Real Estate

Patrick Westfall, specializes in buying and selling homes and condos in downtown neighborhoods of Boulder, Colorado and beyond. Patrick is a University of Colorado at Boulder alumnus and Boulder resident for 24 years. In 2019, Patrick merged the best aspects of his Downtown Boulder Real Estate business with a rare, cutting edge, technology focused, real estate “unicorn”, when he joined the new Compass real estate office. Patrick lives in north Boulder with his wife and two children, and the family dog, Moe, a Boston Terrier. When he is not working, Patrick enjoys spending time with his family, reading, camping, playing guitar, road biking, mountain biking, cruiser biking, hiking, golfing, telemark skiing, and snowboarding.

For me, hanging out on the West End of Pearl Street while shopping and dining is a great reminder of why I live and work in Boulder. It’s a nice place for a slow walk with the kids and Moe, our 7 year old Boston Terrier, on the weekends.

I like to start my morning at Wonder Juice. They have an awesome selection of fresh juices and smoothies. I recommend the Spicy Green Juice or the Matcha Blend that includes coconut milk, coconut water, bananas, matcha, cinnamon, raw honey and vanilla bean. After breakfast I’ll explore some of my favorite stores - University Bicycles, Boulder Bookstore, and prAna (while on the mall) always have a great selection.

Spruce Confections' front patio is a great place for a cappuccino and a slice of veggie quiche or a sweet snack (like their chocolate croissant) and sit and people watch. The best places for happy hour is West End Tavern’s rooftop (check out their bourbon selections with more than 100 to choose from). If I’m having dinner downtown, you can find me at The Kitchen or ND streetBAR. The West End is a great part of Downtown that really does have something for everyone.
