Can cards be used for online/phone purchases?
Yes! Cards purchased after October 30, 2020 that contain a CVV number on the back of the card can be used for online purchases at our participating merchants.
Why was my card ‘rejected’ at a participating merchant?
Most likely, your purchase exceeded the amount available on the gift card. This can be remedied by asking the merchant to ring in the exact amount on the gift card, then pay the balance with another form of payment. To check your gift card balance and see transaction history, call the number on the back of the card or visit GetMyBalance.com.
How do I find out the balance on my gift card?
Call the number on the back of the card or visit GetMyBalance.com and be ready with the 16 digit number and the 6 digit "SC" code on the back of your card to retrieve your current balance.

What payment type(s) are accepted?
Online and on the phone: Visa, Discover, Master Card and American Express
In person: Visa, Discover, Master Card and American Express, as well as cash and check
In what amounts can the gift cards be purchased?
The cards can be purchased in any denomination from $10 to $500.
Is there a limit to the number of gift cards that can be purchased?
No, there is no limit to the number of cards you can order; however, for multiple cards of different denominations, please call 303.449.3774 or visit us in person.
Can the gift cards be purchased online?

Is there a fee to purchase a gift card?
No! The Downtown Boulder Partnership does not charge an activation fee.
(There are shipping / handling charges if you would like the card mailed or over nighted.)
Where is the gift card accepted?

Does the gift card ever expire?
On the cards purchased AFTER December 2, 2019 the funds never expire but the card plastic itself expires seven years after creation- the cards are blue. Cards purchased BEFORE December 2, 2019, (the cards are green) - funds never expire but the card plastic itself expires seven years after creation, however if the green card is inactive for a year, the company will charge a $3 maintenance fee for every month of inactivity. A simple remedy: use your card once a year for a small purchase until you are ready to use more of your balance.

What if my card is lost/stolen?
Unless prohibited by law, if a replacement Card is issued for a lost, stolen or damaged card, prior to "valid thru" date, a $5.00 Replacement Card Fee may be assessed. The replacement fee, if any, will be deducted from the card balance, as long as there is a remaining balance of at least $10.00 on the card; otherwise, it will be paid by the cardholder at the time of replacement.

Can't you just email it to me?
Downtown Boulder Gift Cards are physical cards. Merchants must swipe the card through their Point of Sale system in order to process the payment. Gift Cards must be shipped or picked up at one of our Downtown locations.
I'm located overseas, can you ship the gift card to me?
We accept international orders for gift cards when they are shipped to an address within the United States. We cannot ship overseas. If you are purchasing a gift card to be delivered to an address in the US, please call 303.449.3774 during business hours and we will process your billing information.
