Peppercorn has remained independently owned and operated since opening its doors. The store was founded by Doris Houghland in 1977 as a cooking school and small gourmet kitchen store. Over time, the store has blossomed into a 12,000 square foot stronghold on the historic Pearl Street Mall. Doris strives to create an inviting atmosphere filled with style and warmth. From simple to elegant, there is something for everyone at Peppercorn. Specializing in retail kitchen, houseware, specialty items, gourmet food and cookbooks.
