Things Are Lookin’ A Little Different Around Here

Hey Downtown!

Julie here - DBP’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator.

If you’re new to our blog, welcome!

If you’re not, you might be wondering who I am and why I am writing this blog post instead of our intern. It’s because we don’t have an intern - the world is weird right now, and we didn’t feel like we could offer an intern a valuable experience this semester. SO with that said - my fellow staff members and I will be taking over the next few months. We’ll be showing you downtown from the people who know it best (that’s us!).

This week, I’m going to take you through my favorite places in our beautiful downtown. Since parking is free on holidays and weekends in City of Boulder garages - I love getting downtown and showing my friends and family around even when I’m not working. I like to start on the West End, walk to the East End and then circle back through the park on my way to the car. This way, I can show off all of my favorite parts of downtown in an efficient manner.

To fuel up for the day,  I’ll start with an americano from Ozo Coffee Company + whatever breakfast item I’m feeling that day. They have a great assortment of pastries and I can’t recommend the breakfast burritos enough. I always stop at the Boulder Book Store to browse and pick up my next novel. Peppercorn, Art Mart, Into The Wind & Bliss are my favorite places to stop and look around.

Brunch on the East End is a must - Foolish Craig's has sweet and savory options that hit the spot every time. If I’m feeling fancy - Pizzeria Locale has great pizza.

For lunch dessert - I’d hit Gelato Boy or Ben & Jerry’s. Both have non-dairy options which is an added benefit for my vegan friends. I’ll end my day downtown with some essentials shopping at the Farmers Market and a walk by the creek.

If you need other recommendations for what to do downtown, check us out on Facebook & Instagram

Bye for now,

Non-Intern Julie
