Downtown Boulder's 9th annual Taste of Pearl will wind in and out of boutiques and galleries on
April 29th giving 500+ attendees the opportunity to experience Boulder shopping and dining at its finest

[Boulder, CO] March 29, 2018.Taste of Pearl marks a unique collaboration between downtown Boulder boutiques & galleries, some of Boulder’s most celebrated chefs and the state’s thriving wine and spirits industries.  The event features a delectable array of offerings from 15 local restaurants paired with 15 Colorado wineries or distilleries. On Sunday, April 29 attendees will stroll along Pearl Street – in and out of well-known businesses that will serve as host stops for this one-of-a-kind event between 2 – 5 p.m.   Taste of Pearl is designed to accommodate 550 attendees to ensure an intimate experience with restaurateurs and wine & spirit makers.

After its wildly successful debut in 2010, Taste of Pearl received the Governor’s Award for Downtown Excellence – Best Promotional Event in 2011 from Downtown Colorado, Inc.  Each year since, the Downtown Boulder Partnership (DBP) has strived to enhance the quality and offerings of the event year over year. In 2018, the event will once again feature popular favorites including Frasca Food & Wine, OAK at Fourteenth, Art + Soul Gallery, Weekends, Bookcliff Vineyards and Redstone Meadery, as well as a handful of new participants including: host location, Sherpani; restaurants:  Emmerson, Next Door American Eatery, The Post Brewing Co.; wineries/distilleries: Colterris Winery, Monkshood Cellars, Sutcliffe Vineyards, The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey and Suerte Tequila.

Tickets went on sale earlier this month.  Currently, general admission tickets are still available; however VIP tickets are sold out. General admission tickets ($65) can be purchased at TasteofPearl.com while supplies last.  The event is expected to sellout.  Pairings will be revealed to attendees at check in which will be setup on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall on April 29.  Taste of Pearl takes place rain, snow or shine!

Attendees will savor bite size samples from participating restaurants: Centro Mexican Kitchen, Emmerson, Flagstaff  House, Frasca Food & Wine, Japango, Jill’s Restaurant & Bistro, Leaf Vegetarian, Next Door American Eatery, OAK at Fourteenth, Pizzeria Locale, The Post Brewing Co., Riffs Urban Fare, SALT the Bistro, West End Tavern and Wild Standard.

Participating Colorado Wineries include: Balisteri Vineyards, Bookcliff Vineyards, Colterris Winery, Decadent Saint Winery, Garrett Estate Cellars, Monkshood Cellars, Redstone Meadery, Settembre Cellars, Sutcliffe Vineyards, The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey.

Distilleries include: Deviant Spirits, Geek Spirits, J&L Distilling Co., Suete Tequila and Vapor Distillery.

Featured host locations: Art + Soul Gallery, Art Source International, Barbara & Company, Common Era, Fjallraven, Island Farm, John Atencio, Ku Cha House of Tea, Patagonia, Pedestrian Shops, prAna, Savory Spice, Sherpani, SmithKlein Gallery and Weekends.

The ticket price includes bite size samples of food and tastings of wine or spirits from all participating restaurants and wineries/distilleries; a keepsake wine glass; a re-usable wine carry bag; a $5 coupon off a bottle of wine or spirits from one of the participating wineries / distilleries; and special offers for event attendees at hosting retail locations (including exclusive drawings, free gifts with purchase, discounts and more).   In addition, VIP ticket holders will enjoy early check in and a take home dessert from T&Cakes .
