Blo Blow Dry Bar
Phil Dumontet and Alexa Squillaro know what it takes to run a business - in fact, they own and operate all five Whole Sol locations. When they moved to Boulder in 2017, they knew they were passionate about active lifestyles and healthy foods. Alexa also knew she needed to find a new place to get her hair done! So when Boulder Blo Blow Dry Bar opened in 2018, Alexa was one of the first customers. She never left.
For two years, Alexa went to Blo Blow Dry Bar for hair and beauty services. Enter 2020, and in the middle of the pandemic, the owner decided to sell the business. The only person he would sell it to? Alexa.
“I was honored by the opportunity to help Blo continue to be part of the community, and I agreed to take on the business,” said Alexa. “While blow dry bars are common in bigger cities like New York and Los Angeles, they are relatively new in a place like Boulder. When Blo Blow Dry Bar opened in 2018, it was one of the first of its kind in Colorado.”
Blo Blow Dry Bar offers washes, blow outs and styling, along with makeup application. “We are lucky to help style lots of weddings and special events, which is really incredible because we are able to walk people through some of the most tender moments of their lives. In addition, we are also a great option for those seeking to outsource hair maintenance. An hour or so of pampering really helps with self-care!”
Located at the corner of Pearl and 16th Streets, Blo Blow Dry Bar attracts loyal local customers. “We have amazing clients. It’s a pleasure to remain an engaged member of the downtown community.”
The next time you are getting ready for a special event, think of Blo Blow Dry Bar. “Stop by and experience the confidence a blow out provides, whether you’re going to a party or just in need of some self-care time. Leave positive online reviews and check out our various gift packages.”
To see styles and services, follow them on social media (blo_boulder) and pop in the store to meet Alexa. Because life really is better with a blow out.
